Speed Tour of LA

Aunty Jo and my Mum arrived by train from New Mexico on Friday and were treated to the speed tour of LA. No rest was allowed on arrival and a march around downtown LA took in the Pueblo de Los Angeles, Little Tokyo, coffee, the old theatre district and finally the Disney Concert Hall. Some rest was allowed eventually in the Hotel California before dinner at Schatzi on Main which is seemingly owned by the Govenor. Saturday proceeded at a slightly slower pace with a very good breakfast at Santa Monica Omelette Parlor followed by a repeat of our walk by the seaside at Paradise Cove. Again conditions were foggy but plenty of birds made it acceptable to the visitors. After a very late lunchette we payed a visit to UCLA for a peek at the campus followed by dinner at Il Fornaio. Sunday we went to Huntington Gardens in Pasadena where more entries to the flora gallery were added.
