There should be plenty of things to amuse the less than completely jaded tourist in the local or greater vicinity of the wedding. However, be slightly forewarned that the roads in Ireland are often rather less than splendid and travel times can be deceptive. Ok, so it might take 5 hours to travel from Los Angeles to Mammoth - over 300 miles away - but in Ireland it could take 300 hours to travel 5 miles if you get stuck in one of the larger potholes and are rather diminutive in stature. For example, Google Maps suggests the journey from Moyvalley to Connemara, a distance of only 150 miles might take 3 and a half hours - in reality you may be better taking a calendar with you.

Our wedding ceremony will take place in St Mary's Church, Broadford, Co. Kildare, and the reception will be held a few miles away in Balyna House, Moyvalley. It takes about 10 minutes to travel between the hotel and church by car. From west Dublin, it takes at least 45 minutes to drive the 30 miles/50km to Moyvalley. From Dublin airport, which is the closest international airport, it will take about 1 hour. Driving times can vary greatly depending on the traffic, which can be very heavy in Dublin and on the M50.

From Dublin/Airport, take the M50 to the N4/M4 West (signposted Sligo, Westport, Galway). Contine to exit 9 (Edenderry/Enfield) and turn right at the double roundabout along the R402 towards Enfield . Turn left at the next roundabout (signposted Kinnegad), along the old N4. Turn left at the following roundabout onto the R148 (signposted Kinnegad). At Moyvalley village, take the left turn signposted for Moyvalley (brown sign).
