Projects involving wood, or more correctly, projects that create dust. The tools below were used in these projects.

Hand Tools

• Rafter square
• Marking gauge or knife - essential for accurate marking and cuts
• Hand plane - must be scary sharp and tuned
• Selection of chisels - scary sharpened

Power Tools

I have had good experiences with Makita, DeWalt and Hitachi. Facility for dust extraction pretty much essential, but not sufficient. George vacuum cleaner is useful as a low cost / small dust extraction system and can be attached to most dust creating tools.
